Working with Light
I have a new camera so I am practicing playing around with it. I'm still learning how to use it, but I saw the light coming through this window and wanted to capture it. As I was getting ready to take the shot, Z yells "camera!!" and proceeds to enter the shot. Its a much better picture with her in it .

Halloween Practice
Here we have the little ones ramping up for Halloween. This is the practice run of face paint. Good thing they are so camera shy.

Swollen and out of commission
This is what my foot looks like a week after my ten mile run which has sidelined me. No kettlebell workouts and certainly no running. I can barely put weight on it without wincing. So now in recovery mode: ice tiger balm, elevation, and putting as little weight on it as possible.
Not in a good mood, at all.

Kaleidoscope
So I'm reading with my son. The Lost Hero by Riordan andthe name Jason keeps sounding like Jackson. Then we get to a word I am certain he is going to trip over. It escapes his lips effortlessly, pronounced superbly. So much so that I had to pause and give him a high five.
That word was kaleidoscope.
The biggest building
Walking in Forest Hills with my 4 year old she is admiring the large buildings. So she asks me, "Do you know what the largest building is?" Wanting to hear her answer I say no, tell me. She says after a moment of thought - " The Earth." Then she pauses again and says " No, space, space is the biggest building ever!" I had to agree.
